Changing Perceptions: A Prison Art Exhibition

28th January 2022 • Cafe 16 at Newcastle Cathedral

Changing Perceptions: A Prison Art Exhibition will be opening on Tuesday 1 March 2022. This innovative exhibition will showcase artworks created within a selection of prisons, challenging society’s preconceived attitudes towards prisoners and prisons. Exhibited in the Cathedral’s Refectory, the exhibition will run until Sunday 3 April 2022.

We will be hosting a Preview of the Art on Tuesday 1 March from 4 to 8pm. Drinks are sponsored by Hepple Gin, and Canapés will be provided by Cafe 16. There is no need to book, just come along on the day.

We are delighted to be working with The Burnbake Trust, Koestler Arts, and the Education Departments at HMP Low Newton and HMP Northumberland. Newcastle Cathedral is very kindly letting us use their space, and we are very grateful for the support from their Education and Comms Teams.
