Cafe 16 at Newcastle

A new Cafe 16 is to open at Newcastle Cathedral

A new Café 16 is to open at Newcastle Cathedral!

It is a cafe with a difference, the cake is guilt free. The more you eat and drink the more people you will be giving opportunities, changing lives, and donating to the charity that will be running Café 16 (named after the 1916 Royal Flying corps station at what is now HMP Northumberland).

The Café will be run by the Oswin Project ,working closely with Newcastle Cathedral and its lantern initiative. The Oswin Project is a charity based in Northumberland that gives second chances to the many who have been in prison. Through training and work opportunities Oswinners (as we call our clients) get their lives back on track. It works, resulting in crime being reduced and communities becoming safer places.

All the goods will be provided by the Oswin Projects Café and Bakery in HMP Northumberland.

Come and relax in the beautiful space while effortlessly transforming lives. Café 16 will be opening in August.
